What the students say:

Leena Trivedi-Grenier: United StatesThe Gastronomy Program has sharpened my research skills, but what I have truly appreciated is discussing modern food issues with my peers and exploring the local food environment (read about my food adventures in my blog, Leena Eats This Blog). My dissertation is exploring how food blogs are impacting on American print food journalism.

I also contributed to the recently published The Business of Food: Encyclopedia of the Food and Drink Industries (Westport CT: Greenwood Press, 2007)."

Study in Adelaide

Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, is renowned for its ease of living, friendly multicultural atmosphere, Mediterranean climate and its healthy, safe environment. All classes are held on the North Terrace campus, in Adelaide's CBD.

As the gastronomic capital of Australia and centre of the nation's wine industry, Adelaide is the venue for Tasting Australia, a biennial food and wine festival featuring the gastronomic specialities of South Australia and other Australian states and including the International Food and Wine Writers' Festival.

The University of Adelaide, 'the food and wine university', has a strong international reputation for research and education in food and wine. It is home to the Research Centre for the History of Food and Drink, the National Wine Centre, the Australian Wine Research Institute, and the Cooperative Research Centre for Viticulture.
